The official academy of country music was established in 1964 in Los Angeles, USA. Since its establishment, the academy has grown from a regional organization to an international college dedicated to training musicians.

In 1965, the board of directors was established, and in 1966, the first formal country music awards party was hosted, which promoted the country music to become the focus of social entertainment. The iconic “hat” trophy of the college was founded in 1968. In the early 1970s, the organization was renamed the Country and Western Conservatory of Music, and finally named the Country Conservatory of Music (ACM). 2015 is the 50th anniversary of ACM Awards.
