Seven basic stroke order rules of Chinese characters
1. First horizontal and then vertical: 十、下、牛、丰.
2. First skimming and then pressing: 八、天、合、人
3. Go up first and then down: 三、尖、多、公.
4. First left and then right: 地、你、什、刘.
5. From the outside to the inside: 月、向、同、风
6. First inside and then sealed: 日、国、回、田

7. First in the middle and then on both sides: 小、水、办、承.

When writing most Chinese characters, we must follow these seven rules.
