Snail Girl in Folk Stories
Once upon a time, there was a young man who lived alone on several acres of land.
One day, a young man picked up a big snail from the field, looked at it beautifully and kept it in a water tank beside the stove. The next night, when he came back from farming, he found that the food had been cooked and the room was clean. The next morning, I saw a table full of rich breakfast, but I couldn’t find a figure, which was the case for several days. The young man thought that the old lady next door did it for him, but in the end he found out it wasn’t.
On the fourth day of farming, he deliberately went home early and found a girl cooking. As soon as the girl saw him, she fled into the water tank. The young man told the old lady next door about it and learned that it was a snail girl. As long as she came out and took away the snail shell, she would become her wife.
In order to get the snail shell, the young people gave up farming and waited at home, but they couldn’t find a chance even after waiting for six days. He had to work hard again, and when he got home, he found that all the housework was done again. It turned out that the snail girl wanted to try his heart. She didn’t want to marry a lazy man, so young people never slacked off.
Another day, the young man got up early and heard a noise in the water tank, so he took the snail shell when the girl came out. When the snail girl found out, she wanted to escape back to the shell, but it was too late, so she had to promise to marry a young man.
In this way, the young man and the snail girl became husband and wife and lived a happy life.
