The stroke order rules of Chinese characters are commonly used.

Which stroke to write first and which stroke to write later in a word is called stroke order. The stroke order is the writing order of Chinese strokes, and its basic rules are: first horizontal, then vertical, first left and then pressed, from top to bottom, from left to right, from outside to inside, first inside and then sealed, first middle and then both sides.

 

I. Basic rules

The basic rules of stroke order are:

1. First horizontal and then vertical, such as: 十、下;

2. First skim and then lick, such as: 人、大;

3. First left and then right, such as: 语、植;

4. Go up first and then down, such as: 露、想;

5. First outside and then inside, such as: 月、问;

6. From the inside out, such as: 函、边;

7. First in the middle and then on both sides, such as office and water;办、水;

8. Seal from the outside to the inside, such as the country and the regiment.国、团。

 

Second, the special rules

Most Chinese characters are written by the comprehensive application of the above basic laws, but there are a few special cases:

1. Most people write off first and then fold, but “力、刀、乃、方” are folded first and then folded;

2. “义” is the first point and then the left, and “丹” is the first point and then the seal;

3. “占、非” is vertical first and then horizontal;

4. “匹、巨、臣、可” means to fold or hook vertically after going inside first;

5. “凶、建” is also the first inside and then outside;

6. The words “阝、卩” are right first and then left.
