“ColouriseSG” is an online tool to make black-and-white photos colorful abroad. Based on the deep learning technology of 500,000 old photos, the neural network is trained, so that the machine can automatically judge each part of black-and-white photos and color them appropriately, so that these old photos 40, 50 or even earlier can get a new look.

“Colourisseg” is a set of color tools established by Singapore technical department GovTech Singapore at the beginning of this year. Colourisseg established a model and trained it with old photos of Singapore National Archives, New York Public Library and the Library of Congress, including two neural networks: color generator and picture recognition. This training process used more than 500,000 old photos.
